The Trophies....soon to be back in DCRCYC hands

G'day.....
The Dora Creek Radio Controlled Yacht Club is active....well we are at least getting our act together SLOWLY...We have applied to the Queen for our Royal Charter and we are confident that it will be forthcoming ... Subject to an appropriate apology from the Commodore for that comment about the Royal Corgis' ....
At this stage there are three active members racing Marbleheads ... and only Marbleheads ... Visitors are welcome, but if you act too serious or if your Radio Yacht looks like a Cherman Vun, then the Handicapper vill be brort out vis a nastee attitude and a handicappers policy manual...??...Bad luck for you.
We have begun this little group with the main aim of ensuring that we are as close to similar design and rig size as possible, ensuring close and very even racing...to date we have succeded and will continue with this plan.
Our only limiltation to new members is that you must race with an B rig at all times....and that you must be prepared to share the cost and time of setting up the course....(row the dinghy to lay the marks).
The location is ideal and is provided by the Commodore, hence his position in the committee. Whilst every effort will be made to ensure all sailors have all facilities available to maximise their enjoyment, there is always the possibility that the Commodore may throw a hissy fit and insist that you are not drinking your fair share, or maybe you are trying too hard spoiling the day for those that might not be doing so well.
There is only one Rule at DCRCYC......The Commodore is always right........until the rest of us tell him to @#** OFF
The DCRCYC has been the host of the Inaugural Dora Challenge. Drummoyne Sailing Club Radio Yacht Division walked away with both the Scratch and Handicap trophies on the day, but that will soon change with a Challenge by DCRCYC to regain the Trophies for OUR Cabinet.
Check out the contact details and get in touch....we'd love to see you at DCRCYC.
